Little help from my friends
Just recently I purchased a Nintendo Gamecube for the 2nd time. Now that I have it, I need a little help finding some awesome games to play on it. Thats where you all fit in. I need some good reccommendations on games. No matter how obscure the titles are I'd be willing to try them out. So far I have Mario Kart double dash, Mario Tennis, Killer 7 (which is too bizarre to play), and Animal Crossing. I've played Wind Waker all the way through, and Metroid Prime. So please help me, I need some good titles to get me through the summer dry spell.
thank you

Besides the ones you already have, you should try Pikmin and Pikmin 2. Metal Arms is also a particularly good cross-platform shooter.
yeah i played pikmin 2, which i believe is far suprerior to pikmin 2 since there is no time limit and you can get those big muscle guys. plus it looks great. metal arms huh?
What i've played:
Eternal Darkness, RE 0-4, Luigi's Mansion, Viewtiful Joe 1, Phantasy Star Online 1&2-3, Donkey Konga, Tales of Symphonia, Metroid Prime 2, Splinter Cell 1, MGS Twin Snakes, Ikaruga, Wave Race Blue Storm, Rogue Squadron 2, Skies of Arcadia, Mario Sunshine, Sims 2, Mario Strikers, Prince of Persia 1, and others i can't presently recall. All this stuff is guaranteed top notch in one way or another. Luigi, Wave Race, and Rogue were launch games so you have to lower the bar a little for them.
What i've heard:
Alien Hominid, Harvest Moon(s), Baten Kaitos, Viewtiful Joe 2, Chaos Theory, Odama, Cubivore, Chaos Field, Chibi Robo, True Crime 1, Battalion Wars, Fire Emblem, Call of Duty 2, any non-Street FIFA, Dance Dance Mario Mix, Gun, Prince of Persia 3, King Kong, Spartan Total Warrior, Xmen Legends 2, Ultimate Spiderman, Tiger Woods 06, Madden 06, plus a couple others i may've left out. Most of these should be good for at least a weekend.
Stay away from Minority Report. And avoid Shadow the Hedgehog while you're at it.
Little late responding (I was on vacation).
Definitely Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door and Chibi-Robo!
Both were excellent fun.
Definately Eternal Darkness! Going insane is hysterical!!
I loved PSO but I am not sure if the servers are still up or if the community is still going. But I did have alot of fun on my own off-line.
The Resident Evil Zero and 4 are great too. I haven't tried the other ones since they were direct ports (if I remember correctly).
POP - Sands of Time and Warrior Within are good too. The Two Warriors has a glitch that I can't get pass on the freakin' boss! Oh, and Beyond Good and Evil is pretty good.
I can't think of much more right now.
How was Skies of Arcadia? I have it for the Dreamcast so I didn't get it for the GCN.

I can't believe i forgot Paper Mario, and i meant to say BG&E also but it slipped my mind. I enjoyed PSO offline. Never played online once, and i had a great time with it. I dunno about that emo-core Warrior Within, though.
Skies of Arcadia is still the greatest Cube RPG, which is kind of a shame, but it's really fantastic.
I think we covered most of what the Cube has to offer. Not a standout generation for Nintendo, eh? =/
Agreed .. I've been excited about picking up cheap games now that the Cube is heading out, but there aren't a lot I'm dying to play now. I got a Gamerang subscription (like Netflix for games) and have been renting stuff that people have suggested. I played Killer7 this weekend. While the graphics and sound were excellent (for something so stylized) and with a story so bizarre, it really lacked in its gameplay. It really just felt boring and had a real House Of The Dead arcade game feel. Walk along (by holding A) and hear a laugh .. push R and shoot bad guys. Repeat (and solve some overly trippy puzzles). Bah.
I agree with you Mr. Invis. I bought it hearing it was really cool, but i was so bored after literally 5min and had no idea where to go. i went online and used a walkthrough just to get started and wouldn't have had a clue without it. you just shoot weird monsters every once in a while and walk around aimlessly.
gets an A for graphics but a D for everything else
Yeah I was playing Fable until I FINALLY GOT Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door! Fable what? Man that game is cool. Paper airplane comin' at cha.
RE4, Windwaker, Metorid Prime 1, Donkey Konga 2 if it ever gets cheaper, Mario Sunshine, Aline Hominid, Prince of Persia Sands of Time, and Giest was a fun rent game.
I am loving Killer 7.
